| Objectives: |
The Federation of Associations of young Citizens of Europe was formed in Vienna in 2003. The goals of the federation are
- to organise European Youth encounters in a different country each year
- to get young people more involved in European politics
- to be a forum for the exchange of ideas, the creation of learning networks and group projects
"FACE is important because if history has taught us anything at all, it has taught us that we must work constructively with our neighbours - otherwise there will be mutual distrust and the potential for conflict. [...] Our annual meetings are about working together, finding out about our differences, our similarities and our common humanity. Therein lies the peaceful future of Europe."
